The following is from the Deep State Wikipedia entry...
In the United States, the concept of a deep state is an entity which has been alleged to be involved in a coordinated effort by career government employees and others to influence state policy without regard for democratically elected leadership. It has often been dismissed by numerous media outlets and individuals as a conspiracy theory.
Yeah, I'm leaning toward labeling the "deep state" a conspiracy theory. Given the fact that I'd never heard of it before the ascendency of tRump. Seems like a convenient excuse for a weak president to explain why he isn't implementing his agenda. A so-called president who takes credit for his predecessor's economy in order to sell phony success to his dupes.
This is an administration built on lies. Like the lie that Obama had d0tard Tower wires tapped. Having total control of all three branches of government leaves nobody to blame for failures like "repeal and replace". Explaining why he and his deluded followers have latched onto this "deep state" baloney.
It's government employees belonging to the "deep state" club along with "obstructionist" Democrats who are preventing tRump from making America great again. Or throwing up roadblocks in a futile attempt to prevent tRrump from MAGAing. He'll win out eventually. That is what I guess the average still-loyal trumpazee believes, at least. But tRump does need someone to blame for his failures until he "drains the swamp". He's going to defeat the imaginary "deep state" and the "obstructionist" Democrats who have no ability to obstruct.
btw, when I say the deep state is "imaginary", I mean in the sense that tRump and his delusional followers are spinning it. I do believe that large governmental institutions protect themselves. Explaining why some things don't change regardless of whether it's Republicans or Democrats holding power. But a "deep state" made up of Obamaites/Leftists/globalists that are out to stop tRump from "draining the swamp" (something he isn't even trying to do)? It's a bunch of BS.
